A Chinese Foreign Ministry special envoy on Asian Affairs, Sun Guoxiang, has also been invited to Myanmar's Union peace conference. He said China would continue its efforts in promoting the process.
"As long as peace is not realized, China's efforts on promoting peace talks and helping Myanmar realize peace will not stop. And, I think China is just an advocate, promoter and supporter of peace. We can't replace the people of Myanmar to make decisions on their domestic affairs," said Sun Guoxiang, Chinese foreign ministry special envoy on Asian affairs.
